Two russians and an austrian start cooperating and it's not related to ski sports for a change, but speak is about Black/Thrash band named DRAUGGARD, who unleashed their 2nd album "WyrdWeorc". They are quite long around in the scene, releasing stuff since 2004 already. "WyrdWeorc" is going all out to rage and riot, sounding loud and powerful from your speakers. Despite a large variety of melody, change in speed and lead guitars the main goal of this album is to massively pour forward. Most of all this means to have drums in foreground, but lead guitars help it a lot not to lose vocals and rhythm guitars in the background. Drauggard do a real smart job here creating an arc of suspense on this album, starting with Intro ,Aetternisstapi‘, to be followed by smasher ,Take This Nid!‘ with a nice roaring-along part in the middle it's the perfect start into this fire-all-over-the-place orgy. Following songs are thoroughly arranged but not too spectacular, which is nothing bad at all, because there are still some highlight songs to come your way following the album, such as the merciless ,Black Seidwork‘, where shouter Dmitry screams and gurgles it all out and which even appears a bit psyschedelic. Or ,Der Todesking‘ with its almost jazzlike break part. To sum it up: it's going all well for Drauggard.
