Cronos (Conrad Lant), is back (1990). After the Venom split and various statements that his former colleagues made about the vocal virtuoso's new project, I actually didn't expect to ever get my hands on another sign of life in the form of a round disc from the boy. Well, the first surprise was perfect, but the second followed immediately: In contrast to the solo record by Venom guitarist Mantas and the Satansjünger's last LP, "Dancing In The Fire" comes up with excellent song material. CRONOS didn't make the mistake of continuing old traditions, i.e. trying to revive old Venom sounds, but tried to create their own style, which they succeeded in doing. The title track, starting with a short acoustic intro, 'I'll Be Back' or 'Old Enough To Bleed' are good Power/Thrash Metal tracks that I would have expected from anyone but CRONOS.
