Gentle piano sounds don't really go well with death and black metal. Never mind, says Christoph Martin to himself. Under the project name Alphatraz, the multi-instrumentalist covers dark metal songs on the piano and publishes them on YouTube and in the social media. He has gained a certain reputation with this - also through guest contributions for Frozen Soul, among others.

But it is not only the classics of hard sounds that Christoph puts his touching and emotionally shaking stamp on with his interpretations. With the full length album "Gebeine" he released the Alphatraz debut in November 2022, a solo album full of iron piano sonatas.

In his own words: "I want to take people on a journey with my music. This journey is a bit dark, but also has its bright moments. Classical metal and also film music elements can be heard."
