With their 2nd album "No Retreat ... No Surrender" the Norwegian quartet NOCTURNAL BREED in 1998 probably had kick out their biggest album. NOCTURNAL BREED have always gambled and celebrated in pure old tradition, mangy, alcoholic Thrash with proper Rock 'n' Roll impact and a load of Black Metal. So as well as with this 13 tracks here. In the 45 minutes, the 4 Oslo retro specialists serve aggressive, old-school sound, it had played especially in the 80s german bands like DEATHROW or early SODOM. However, they sound more authentic & dirty than many other younger genre reps who are also trying this. "No Retreat... No Surrender" is an all around successful ass-butt record that you should definitely know as a thrasher.
