After twelve years of abstinence from albums, one of the longest serving Black Metal bands from Finland is back with a violent outburst of anger. On their ninth studio album from BARATHRUM go to work energetically as usual and show the youngsters that even as an "old hand" in the business you can still have enough hatred, energy and a lot of anger in your stomach and know how to dress them in aggressive eruptions. The damn powerful production alone is what makes "Fanatiko" so appealing, with the two basses in particular providing a nice earthy sound. Anyone who likes their Black Metal aggressive and in the tradition of the early nineties must definitely get this work into their collection.
