The compilation "Prior Convictions" was released via the Arista label. The compilation was initially released exclusively for the Australian and New Zealand markets and contains songs from the years 1980 to 1982, i.e. from the albums "Metal Rendez-Vous", "Hardware" and "One Vice at a Time". Since the band's 1983 release "Headhunter" was their first - albeit their only - chart entry in New Zealand, it can be assumed that this compilation was released to draw the newly won Australian and New Zealand fans to the successful ones in Europe and North America to draw attention to albums before 1983. "Prior Convictions" is not listed in the discography and has only been released on vinyl and tape.
